Sad Goodbyes......2019 Sagnol and Chacco's Rubin DSF

As 2019 draws to a close we are taking the time to say goodbye to two of our stallions that we lost this past year..With the loss of Armin still weighing heavily on us, we were thankful to know that he was there to welcome these two when they entered the big green pasture in the sky…

Chacco’s Rubin DSF one of our young stars, he brought such great bloodlines to North America, was a superior athlete himself, and we were so thrilled with what we were seeing in his offspring. Earlier this year he colic’d at the training barn, where he was in full training and living preparing to show again with the goal of a long term sports career, we were looking forward to producing him to the Grand Prix ranks, he was showing us everything needed, Chacco unfortunately suffered from complications following his colic surgery which ultimately led to our decision to say goodbye…We will miss our daddy long legs, with his giant soft eyes, and freakish athletic ability.

Sagnol..this was a very hard loss and took a while for us to get over he has been a fixture at the farm for years, he was the second stallion that was acquired. He was a model of a horse, with his stunning beauty, he had the biggest fun loving personality, he loved life, and loved his people, he was a charmer, with that “it” factor. He was so very sweet with his people, and loved any and all attention, he was a total ham. Unfortunately an old injury from many years ago caught up with him, and eventually it became obvious that regardless of the care and support, and a lot of consultations, there was nothing we could do, saying goodbye would be in Sagnol’s best interest. No matter how much it hurt me, and yet again losing another piece of my heart I said goodbye to my sweet boy..

I know our breeders loved these boys and their offspring, I am so thankful to have been able to share them with you, no matter the heartbreak I am always thankful for having had the special ones in my life, I just wish it would last forever…..We thank our breeders who have given us the time to process these losses, the grief we have felt over the last year has been huge, but we continue to stay positive…life you never know what it has in store for you.

We do have frozen semen available for Sagnol, there is none available for Chacco’s Rubin DSF
